Our 2018 Q1 charitable initiative began as an environmental project but it didn't stop there.
Recycle-O-Rama was a company-wide effort where each department came together to collect and recycle as many aluminum cans as possible. The collection effort spanned the month of March. As a fitness-focused brand, it's no surprise that the initiative inspired a great deal of friendly competition between our motivated team members. Still, within these fun-yet-fierce rivalries, no one lost sight of the common cause and overarching goal.
Beyond bettering our immediate environment with our cleanup and recycling efforts, we wanted to make an impact elsewhere in the world. We joined forces with two local schools Lone Peak High School and Alpine Elementary in raising funds for the Candlelight School in Nairobi, Kenya. The Candlelight School was started in 2004 and provides education to over 350 students, most of whom are orphans or live on the street. All proceeds from the Recycle-O-Rama project were donated to help fund three wells to provide a clean source of water for the Candlelight School students.
