Yes folks, size does matter. Especially, when you're talking about BlenderBottle sizes. The size shaker that's right for you depends on the volume of ingredients you plan to mix, plus how big or small a bottle you want to tote along.
We offer a wide variety of bottle sizes to suit every need from the tidy 20-oz. Classic and SportMixer to the whopping 45-oz. Classic45. And with our handy new size chart, we've made it easier than ever to select the perfect BlenderBottle shaker cup for you.

Hi Heather,
Excellent question about the Strada Tritan bottles—happy to answer it. Your shaker with the 20 oz measurement mark is most likely a 24 oz Strada Tritan capacity shaker and will be listed on our website as such (24 oz Strada Tritan). You don’t have to leave extra room at the top to shake, but it’s never a bad idea for the best mix.
If your husband is looking for a shorter bottle, a 20 oz (available in our Classic style) or a 22 oz (available in our ProStak style) is probably the best way to go. If odor-resistance is preferable, I’d recommend our SportMixer shaker, available in 20 oz capacity; however, the SportMixer has a slightly wider base. Unfortunately, the shortest size available with the locking lid is the 24 oz Strada Tritan, 24 oz Stainless Flip, or 25 oz Strada Sleek. All of these bottles are about the same height.
Our shakers do not have foam rings, however, many of our bottles do have a rubber gasket for a better seal while mixing. If that is what you are referring to, yes, we do recommend taking it out for washing so old protein doesn’t build up underneath the ring. We do not currently offer replacement gaskets for purchase on our website, but we do offer replacement lids. If you are having a problem with your gasket, please reach out to our customer service team at (385) 293-3935.
The new BlenderBall color has the same mixing capabilities as our original wire whisk. We have done extensive testing to ensure the new BlenderBall color meets the standards you have come to expect from BlenderBottle.

Hello,
Could you explain how you determine the volume/size ?
The tritan bottle I own has 20 ounces/600mL as the top measure. But there is room ABOVE that … at least 4 ounces. I think you are leaving extra on top for shaking that you don’t include in the size, but I’m not sure. And I can’t find it on your site.

My husband wants a bottle a little shorter than what I have but not wider at the base. Sometimes I think the proportion throws me off and I think the bottoms of the shorter bottles seem wider, but I’m not sure.
He doesn’t need tritan, necessarily. I think he will really like the new lids, though. I love being able to lock my lid. I guess the only drawback is the foam rings can deteriorate. It seems like you only have those in tritan.
Is it good to leave the foam rings all the time in or take them out for washing??
Can we get new foam rings?
Also, how are the NEW shaker balls different in function than the metal ones? They look like they wouldn’t mix as well, but not get bent and intertwined as easily.
Thanks for you help.
I love my blender bottles. I use them everyday.
