Turmeric drinks are all the rage and with good reason. With a mix of turmeric and vanilla protein powder, you're sure to enjoy this protein shake recipe. The key active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin, is a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Turmeric can be slow to absorb in the body, but a dash of ground black pepper which contains piperine, known to speed the absorption of curcumin should fix that.
